Reflective Narrative: In this class I began the building blocks to help prepare for Capstone. Through this class we covered topics that were important such as the various study abroad opportunities that are offered for both Spanish and Japanese majors, how to improve our personal resumes to fit the jobs that we were to apply for, and even went over some topics that we could expand on for Capstone. In order to fulfill MLO 1, I completed the STAMP Test, which is a test that measures where you are in regards to ACTFL guidelines on the proficiency of the targeted language, in this case Spanish. In order to fulfill MLO 6, I was required to work on both my personal statement and my resume. Through this course I was able to begin the process of my Capstone and prepare for my future, thinking about my options in regards to what career path I could possibly choose based on my major. Something that I wish to further develop from what I have learned in this course is the process of editing my resume to fit the job that I want. This course relates to a workshop that I did during the summer of 2017, it was a workshop that focused on helping graduating high school seniors on their personal statements and resumes. So I took what I learned at that workshop and applied to what I was learning in this course. After completing this course I tend to take what I learned and apply it to my Capstone. Below I have attached a personal statement that I had completed at first and you can see the final draft of it at the home page.
