Reflective Narrative: In this course I was to focus on reading and analyzing the work of chicano writers that have left an impact on Chicano literature. Along with looking how chicano cosmology is being presented in literary text. In order to fulfill MLO 3, I went into depth of what the chicano narrative was during that time frame and what elements helped define a chicano narrative. Something I wish to further develop is my understanding of what exactly is chicano literature and what does it represent for the community it is integrated in. This course relates to my other literature classes that I have taken, they all have introduced me to a variety of Hispanic, Chicanx and Spanish literature that has helped me get a better understanding of the era that they came from. After completing this course I intend on looking at what elements helped define the movement and being able to connect each text with each other. Below I have attached the final presentation for the class, it was to do an in depth analysis of a book of our own choosing. I decided on doing it on ‘Yaqui Delgado Wants to Kick Your Ass’ by Meg Medina, which covers the social aspects of growing up as a girl in the latinx community, the Cuban-América identity and immigration.
