Fulfills- MLO 3: LITERARY AND CULTURAL KNOWLEDGE and MLO 6: RESEARCH AND TECHNOLOGY
Reflective Narrative: In this course I was preparing my foundation for my Capstone project, coming up with a solid idea on the theme I wanted to work on. In order to fulfill MLO 3, I conducted my research on chicana literature leading me to my topic of rewriting for my Capstone. In order to fulfill MLO 6, I continually conducted research for articles that supported my theme of rewriting. Through this course I was able to get better at conducting research and finding what I had a passion for, along with realizing the importance of chicana literature and rewriting. Something I wish to further develop from what I have learned in this course is to build on my researching abilities because I realized how important it is to be good at conducting research. This course relates to a course that I took during my junior year, which was the beginning steps of creating my Capstone. After completing this course I intend to use what I learned and use it as the backbone of my Capstone project. Below I have attached a breakdown on what my Capstone would cover, giving a small glimpse to what is to come,it includes the questions of investigation along with the pieces of literature that will be used to help conduct the research. By taking this class I was able to set a strong foundation for my Capstone project, I was also able to learn the process of what it takes to make a good research paper and the type of evidence/resources that were to be used.
